Franklin General Hospital Emergency Services had a rare part-time opening! This position is 32 hours a week.1. Works in cooperation with all personnel involved with patient care.2. Renders emergency care as outlined in departmental policies.3. Reassures patients and bystanders by working in a confident, efficient manner.4. Avoids mishandling and undue haste while working expeditiously.5. Complies with regulations on the handling of the deceased.6. Assists in lifting or moving patients in or out of the EMS vehicle.7. Assures the EMS vehicle and equipment are restocked appropriately and assure vehicle is cleaned inside and out.8. Works with the Ambulance Manager and the Maintenance Manager in scheduling the vehicles for external cleaning and service.9. In accordance with general hospital policy, follows universal precautions and decontaminates the interior of the vehicle after transportation of a victim with a contagious infection or radiation exposure.10. Determines the vehicle is in proper operating condition by checking gas, oil, and reporting any necessary repairs or adjustments.11. Maintains familiarity with specialized equipment and supplies used by the Ambulance Service.12. Subject to taking call from inside or outside the hospital. Can be placed on call as backup when the first crew is out of town on assignment.13. Attends and participates regularly in ambulance meetings and other continuing education programs when necessary.14.
