How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:An EMT:Basic is not eligible for this position. Candidate must be an EMT:Advanced, EMT:Intermediate, or Paramedic certified in Virginia. Under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner, manager and/or Registered Nurse, in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing delegation and supervision guidelines, assists with a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities. These include: :Assistance with activities of daily living, comfort care and nutritional support.:Performance of selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and procedures as directed.:Indirect patient care activities include maintaining a clean safe environment, ensuring adequate inventory of supplies and equipment, and data collection as pertinent to the patient population. What We Require:Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Associates degree or equivalent from two:year college or technical program in paramedic studies preferred. Experience: One year EMT:Advanced, EMT:Intermediate, or Paramedic experience preferred. Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certified in the State of Virginia as an EMT:Advanced, EMT:Intermediate, or EMT:Paramedic and maintains National Registered status (preferred). AHA BLS : HCP, and ACLS required. PALS, Haz Mat Awareness, and NRP required within one year from date of hire.
