University Physicians & Surgeons, Inc. d/b/a Marshall Health seeks Electrophysiologist to provide evaluation & care as a faculty/attending physician for outpatients at the employer's main clinical offices of Marshall Health & for inpatients at affiliated hospitals, all located in Huntington, WV and in Scott Depot, WV, at locations identified herein providing on-call coverage as assigned on a rotational basis. Also provides coverage at VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Locations within 30 minute drive from main office. Physician will be responsible for clinical specialty of Electrophysiology/Cardiology, including the diagnosis & treatment of diseases that mainly affect the heart and blood vessels. General cardiology call one weekend in four. Non-invasive services once a week including echo and carotid duplex. Educationally, duties include teaching in inpatient or ambulatory setting for students and residents. Participate and present in departmental Medical Grand Rounds weekly. Participation in section meetings, committees, programs at the university and hospital. Initiation & completion of research projects as part of the scholarly activity plan. Supervise the work of Nurse Practitioner. The minimum requirements are a medical degree or foreign equivalent degree, apply for & successfully obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license as of the 1st day of employment, have completed an AGCME approved one-year fellowship program in Cardiac Electrophysiology. Travel required on a weekly basis, 1-2 days/week to additional work locations at affiliated hospitals Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV, VA Medical Facility, Huntington, WV and Marshall Health - Teays Valley all within the employer's MSA. recblid okiuqbwpqyqvdt9nee8wg2iszixkmw
