We are currently seeking an electronics technician to join our Engineering Department. This role will be assembling, trouble shooting, repairing and calibrating our proprietary environmental testing equipment. Some of the responsibilities and skillsets are listed below. Please be aware that this is an onsite job role at our offices, located near Mopac and Braker by the Domain. Primary Responsibilities will be : Troubleshoot and repair proprietary environmental testing equipment. Manage production of new probes and replacement parts. Provide final assembly and testing of new and repaired equipment. Calibrate and adjust equipment per specifications. Manage inventory of parts and order replacements as needed. Maintain accurate records of repairs and shipments. Manage inventory of individual components, sub-assemblies, equipment in for repairs. Pack & ship completed equipment to end users. We are looking for someone who can : Identify IC's, capacitors, resistors and other solid state thru-hole electronic components. Use digital multi-meter, power supplies, solder stations. Trace signals, identify faults, and make repairs on simple thru-hole circuit boards. Troubleshoot and replace specific components. Use data sheets for component information to order proper parts. Identify requirements and order replacements for obsolete parts. Update specifications as needed. Calibrate sensors for accurate temperature, pressure, and linear measurements. Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics. Inspect and approve vendor supplied cables, adapters, machined & molded parts used for assembly. Interact with coworkers and supplier, field technicians and engineers. Understand basics of pressure and vacuum systems. Use a variety of hand and power tools. Apply cleaners, adhesives, lubricants, and coatings. Use Windows and DOS applications to test equipment. Use Office (Outlook/Word/Excel) to document and communicate. A few of the requirements : 3-5 years' experience as bench technician. Associates Degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology or equivalent training & education. Ability to lift 50+ pounds This position is full time with compensation based upon experience.
