ElectricianELO2 or higherFulltime;$30.35-$33.77/hour + benefitsJob Description: Electrical / MechanicalResponsible to: Supervisor, Maintenance and OperationsWork Year: 260 DaysGeneral: Participate in the work of installing, inspecting, maintaining and repairing all types of electrical, ventilating, air conditioning, and plumbing systems and equipment in various school buildings and facilities. Instruct and supervise assistants as necessary in their responsibilities and work requirements.Minimum Qualification:*Must possess high school diploma or equivalent*Current Washington State Driver's License*Electrician ELO 2 or higher*Formal training or 2-years work experience in related fields of job responsibilities as outlined.*Computer skills relevant to District's network use (email, work orders, etc.) and relevant to operating/monitoring building systems (Electrical, alarms, etc.)*Ability to obtain valid CPR and First Aid card.*Excellent problem solving ability*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills*Ability to handle information in a confidential manner*Organizational skills and flexibility to respond changing building/department needsPosition Responsibilities:*Read and understand schematic drawings and technical manuals.*Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.*Install, maintain and repair energy management and related control systems.*Adjust, maintain and repair lighting systems and electrical systems*Install, adjust, maintain and repair electrical motors, equipment and instruments including, but not limited to, pumps, clocks, lamps, stoves, timers, air conditioners, fans, metering devices, power tools and refrigerators.*Troubleshoot and fire alarm and security systems*Install, maintain and repair District electrical systems.*Clean, maintain and repair power and hand tools.*Assist in estimating materials and time needed to complete jobs; pick up materials from sources as necessary or required.*Assist the maintenance department in completing other maintenance tasks.*Perform such other duties as, from time to time, may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities*Instruct and supervise assistants as necessary in their responsibilities and work requirements.Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Other Skills and Abilities:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.
