SCOPE: Construction Management and Inspection Services associated with Aeronautical lighting systems, 5kV systems, electrical substation/regulator work, high tension work, Fiber Optic communication infrastructure systems, fire alarm and other electrical based work. REQUIREMENTS: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability to read plans and specs and prepare written contract administration documentation such as daily narratives (work reports), controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work. Identify potential extra work issues and keep Resident Engineer advised of issues. Prepare estimates of extra work. Prepare related sketches and documentation. Review plans for constructability and prepare comments. Review contractor payment requests and recommend reasonableness to the Resident Engineer. Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10-years’ experience inspecting electrical construction work, varied in size (projects ranging from $500K to $5 million plus) and complexity (multiple crews and crew sizes per shift). Ability to pass a SWAC Background Check at High Level. Valid Driver's license required. Night and weekend shifts are required. Trained in LOTO, fall protection, trench excavation, confined space and permit required confined space OSHA regulations and 30-hr OSHA construction safety training. The following Electrical Licenses/Certifications: NJ DCA Electrical Inspector License, NICET Certifications - Electrical Power Tests and Fire Alarm Systems Level III or higher. PAY RATE: $75.00-$100.00/Hourly Salary. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, education, and physical work location.
