ROLE: Electrical Architect LOCATION: Stevenage SALARY: Highly Competitive DURATION: Permanent Responsibilities: Provide responsibility for selecting and implementing the electrical subsystem architecture in alignment with our customer policy. - Ensure comprehensive capture of all relevant system requirements while optimising the utilisation of industrial resources for the project. - Supervise the electrical architects, ensuring adherence to company policy processes and standards for Electrical Systems, encompassing Power (generation, processing, and distribution), Data handling (both for the platform and payload systems), Communications (for both platform and payload), Electrical harness, and EMC. - Efficiently organise and prepare critical reviews and evaluations. - Manage and oversee budgets, reporting, and scheduling for the electrical team. - Collaborate with the Procurement Organisation to oversee the technical management of electrical equipment subcontracts through appointed subsystem architects, ensuring timely, cost: effective, and high: quality delivery to the project. - Ensure that verification planning and test requirements adequately encompass the system design specifications. Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Requirements: - Knowledge of Non: conformance Reporting systems, including RFDs (Request for Deviation) and RFWs (Request for Waiver). - Team management experience- Analogue and digital experience in Electronics (ideally RF)- Proficiency in utilising Software Design Tools (for activities such as power simulation, link budgets, and harness design). - Competence in work package management, cost estimation, and reporting.
