The role, at a glance: The Regional Education Account Manager specializes in the sales and application of audio, video, and control solutions within the Higher Education and K-12 markets. The ideal candidate will be located in the Eastern US region. For a full list of all US states eligible for hire, please refer to the bottom of this job posting. How you'll contribute: Creating and implementing an education market sales strategy for the region. Driving revenue and building relationships with new & existing Education accounts. Making warm and cold calls to prospective customers to promote business via networking and relationship building skills. Creating, nurturing and developing relationships with the audio-video teams, decision-makers, and influencers at universities and school districts. Visiting potential customers, making presentations, and identifying key decision makers. Demonstrating and presenting Biamp solutions, participating in Education trade shows and other such local events. Working alongside sales reps, integrators, and consultants to create opportunities in the Education market. Working with existing regional managers, partners and integrators to develop and execute strategic account plans to meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals and objectives. You'll also support with: Gaining working knowledge, understanding, and programming proficiencies of the Biamp platform. Identifying and cultivating a list of end-users in Higher Education and K-12. Working with and reporting opportunities to the regional team to navigate projects through the AV channel. Assisting sales channel representatives (reps, distributors, etc.) with end-user and large project opportunities. Working alone and with Field Sales Engineers on BOM, system design, and configurations. Monitoring competition through product, price, and market analysis while keeping up with industry technologies and trends. A successful candidate should have: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. 5+ years of experience selling professional audio, video, and control solutions in Higher Education and K-12 markets. A keen understanding of the commercial audio, video, and control landscape. A full understanding of integrated audio/video systems and components, and considerable expertise and experience in their operations. Fluent in computer technologies, networked audio systems, and DSP. technology. Experience with audio networking and control systems is a plus. An ability to present information to a variety of audiences and stakeholders, from C-Suite down. Must possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Must possess the ability to make decisions within the designated area of responsibility. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, CRM, and Power BI tools. Proven track record of exceeding goals/objectives. Broad overall knowledge of AV technology. A solid foundation of sales skills training. Knowledge of procurement policies, information technologies procurement needs, and facilities management within the Education market. Customer service and support-oriented disposition. Work environment: This is an at-home (remote) position based in the Eastern US. The ideal candidate will already be located in this region or willing to relocate at their own expense. Up to 75% of travel with as many as 2 annual trips to Biamp’s world headquarters in Beaverton, OR., plus participation at one or more national/international trade shows.
