Preference to an Educator, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. Has a minimum of two years of work experien ce in a long-term care setting. Teaching and leadership experience is an asset. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills. Effective problem-solving skills. Creative and resourcefulness in dealing with changing priorities. Highly organized with the capacity to be flexible to meet multiple demands. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Education Coordinator Staff Education: Plans the annual and monthly education calendar. Ensure all annual educational topics have been presented by the appropriate Leadership Team Member. Provide a minimum of one education topic a month. Schedule outlook invitations for education sessions and circulate read and signs to staff by email. Completes an annual staff education survey, summarizes results, and makes appropriate changes. Ensures the education plan satisfies all annual and mandatory requirements of the facility, WRHA , OESH, WSH and Manitoba Healt h. Maintains the educational database including entering topics, participation, and maintains statistics. Ensures all staff complete mandatory. Ensures safe resident movement is completed for all departments as required by WRHA and Shared Health. Completes return demo audits. Prepares. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
