The role will focus on fostering investor relations and providing exceptional client service, managing and overseeing the execution of venture investments. The Senior Counsel will often act as the partner-level resource on deals, with a team of associates supporting their efforts. Duties:Foster and maintain investor relations, providing high-quality client service.Manage and oversee the execution of venture investments, acting as the lead counsel on deals.Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on ECVC matters, including structuring investments, due diligence, and negotiation.Review and draft legal documents, including term sheets, investment agreements, and shareholder agreements.Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to facilitate smooth transactions.Mentor and supervise junior associates, providing guidance and support as needed.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in ECVC law. Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in California.8+ years of experience in ECVC law, with a strong focus on investor-side work.Proven track record of managing and executing venture investments.Excellent client management and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in California. Skills:Deep understanding of ECVC law and venture investment processes.Strong negotiation and drafting skills.Excellent client relationship management abilities.Leadership and team management skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
