CAMX Dry Room Cell Assembly Technician While the ideal candidate will have knowledge of the steps required to build a lithium-ion battery, it is more important that the candidate have strong laboratory skills and extensive experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Some of the key general skills required to excel in this position will be: Ability to adhere to established quality standards, SOP's and process control plans Detail oriented with strong communication and analytical skills Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail Must have good manual dexterity & ability to stay focused on tasks Familiarity with proper laboratory safety and housekeeping practices such a 5S Experience using Mac OS and Windows OS Fluency in English is critical Ability to handle a fast-shifting landscape to address needs as they arise While these are not absolute requirements for the right candidate, the following experience is helpful: A background in coin cell and multi-layer pouch cell assembly processes. Ideal candidate will also have a background in data collection and data entry into software programs such as Excel or a manufacturing execution system (MES) Working knowledge of pilot cell assembly and electrode fabrication equipment Assembly experience using bench top crimping machines, heat presses and vacuum sealers. Experience with ultrasonic welding, electrode cleaning, die punching and cutting, and electrolyte filling using syringe type dispenser Experience working with glove boxes Description The specific activities include, but not limited to: This position will work closely in multi-functional teams including equipment engineering, cell design engineering and technology partners to realize program goals Daily cell assembly and support of manual and semi-automated equipment Working with equipment, weighing scales, measurement devices, microscopes and test equipment as directed Execute design of experiments and make suggestions for process and product improvements CAMX & TIAX LLC is an equal opportunity employer and does not unlawfully discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, citizenship status, or any other class protected by federal or state law in all employment decisions
