We are looking for a professional, highly motivated, goal-oriented, skilled, and hardworking individual to fill the Driver position and become a valued member of Veterans Inc. team! This position is responsible for effective and efficient transportation of our clients in a safe and secure manner. It is based out of our Independence Hall location in Shrewsbury, MA. We are looking to fill Full and Part Time positions! WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY: Safely shuttle clients to and from various destinations. Maintain security and cleanliness of company vehicles. Clean vehicle, remove debris, wash windows and wipe down surfaces to ensure cleanliness. Completing required pre-trip inspections and completing vehicle log form. Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our vehicles. Notifying management of any maintenance, mechanical problems or inspections that are needed in a timely fashion. Complying with company procedures and training for vehicle operations. Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times and ensure each passenger has a positive experience and all issues are resolved in a timely manner. Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can. Open and close doors for patrons who need assistance. Ensure all passengers are authorized to board the shuttle. Maintain constant communication with supervisor and fellow staff on shuttle ride updates. Develops and maintains positive and professional relationships with the clients and staff. Keeps a timely shuttle route. Attends and participates in all Veterans Inc. and external meetings are required. Other special projects and duties as assigned during downtime, as directed by supervisor. WHAT YOU MUST HAVE: Minimum of high school diploma or GED or equivalent. Associates degree or higher in Human Services or relevant field. License required: valid class D (Non-CDL) license in good standing. Professional driving experience is preferred. Experience in security, residential services or substance abuse treatment setting highly valued. Must be able to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records, CORI, and background records check. Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test. Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
