Position Summary: The Goodwill Donation Door Attendant acts as the face to Goodwill, providing donors with exceptional customer service while helping them deliver donated items, promoting Goodwill and donor loyalty. Primary Responsibilities: Support the mission and vision of Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan. Perform work in a safe manner observing all Goodwill safety policies/procedures. Perform duties and interact with all Goodwill team members, clients, and customers in a professional manner. Respect the diversity of others including, but not limited to, those with cultural, ethnic, and gender differences, individuals experiencing homelessness, and persons with visible and non-visible disabilities. Greet donors at their vehicle in the drive up. Unload donated goods from donor's vehicles. Offer donors donation vouchers. Handle multiple donors at the same time. Maintain excellent customer relations at all times. Handle donations in an appropriate and safe manner. Assist in processing donated goods as needed, sort goods as required. Assist in maintaining essential supplies and equipment to production stations. Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times. May assist in the processing of goods as needed or directed. Be able to work independently, remain focused and follow through, as well as working as part of a team. Assist as needed in transporting large items to and from the sales floor. Reports to: Store ManagerSupervises: NA Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience: Some high school preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Self-motivatedAbility to work independently Physical Requirements: Standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, reaching, walking, hearing, seeing, twisting and turning. Regular lifting of 20-50 pounds.Occasionally heavy lifting exerting 50-100 pounds of force.Work Environment sometimes hectic with occasional high stress, occasional short deadlines.
