The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to cultivate a community where all people are respectfully supported and empowered to embrace opportunities for learning, growth and economic security.CAP is seeking a Housing Specialist in our Domestic Violence Intervention Program. The Housing Specialist provides direct services to victims and their dependents of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking and are homeless in Cayuga County. Must complete the Financial Educator Certificate Program and obtain certification within 12 months of hire. Experience, knowledge and understanding of the problems facing domestic violence victims and the issues facing homeless and homeless vulnerable persons. Associate degree in social work, psychology, or related field or two years' experience in the human service field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Compute r skills including Word, Excel, and database experience. Must have reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license. Individuals with lived experience of homelessness are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $18.51/hour, scheduled 35 hours/wk.
