About the role This position will work with Home Depot field personnel to build Leviton brand advocacy and drive sales through product assortment within their respective regions. This will be accomplished by educating associates on Leviton products including sales and merchandising tactics that achieve and exceed area sales and customer point of sale (POS) targets. These trainings will be coupled with timely and exemplary field execution to support the sale of company products, programs and promotion in an established territory. Responsibilities Develop and manage relationships with all field support groups within The Home Depot Develop exceptional product knowledge and presentation skills, utilize sales metrics and merchandising tactics that improve productivity and up selling opportunities Utilize data on a market and store level / Optimize store performance, promotional lifts and identify out of stock issues Implement Corporate sales strategies at the store level to generate profitable growth with The Home Depot key segment categories Partner with Home Depot Merchandising Execution Team (MET) Ensure project execution is completed to Levitons standards, product display functionality, merchandising and inventory management (including inventory reconciliation, selling through overages) and support marketing and promotional programs Develop and build on relationships with key field decision makers, utilize essential sales and negotiation skills to secure regional promotional buys within each Buying Office, and maximize sales opportunities Communicate accomplishments, competitive threats, opportunities and related issues in a timely fashion to management Assist in the development and set-up of product line and customer specific plan-o-grams Assist with POP for in-store use (i.e. end-caps, wing stacks, off shelf, cross-merchandising) Schedule quarterly meetings with Home Depot Field Director of Merchandising Management (FDMM)/ Regional Merchandising Managers (RMM) / District Managers (DM) / Pro Account Representative (PAR) Build relationships with Home Depot Pro Desk and Special Order Desk and drive the Home Depot Pro Direct Program Participate in special projects including but not limited: New product introductions, Price shops, Pro events, Supplier events, Home Depot MVP walks and Product knowledge classes Qualifications Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills Team player with a proactive, positive attitude Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with The Home Depot and Merchandising Execution Team (MET) Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating high levels of honesty and integrity Ability to develop and follow a sales plan for area Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise Ability to travel within designated territory Sales negotiation skills and good understanding of merchandising and sell up opportunities required Basic computer knowledge of Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint Education & Experience Associate's degree in business or related field is required Bachelor's degree from a four-year college is a plus 2 years' experience working in retail, in-store merchandising or outside sales experience preferred Possess a basic understanding and implementation of Plan-O-grams Experience building in-store displays and prototypes using hand/power tools Travel This position will require 50% travel at a minimum What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
