Description:
The San Jacinto River Authority is seeking a Division Manager for its division located in Highlands, Texas. The ideal candidate would be responsible for leading, planning, developing, and directing the resources and activities of the Highlands Division. Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of a raw water supply and conveyance system that provides industrial, municipal and agricultural customers with raw (untreated) water. The system includes three pump stations, a 27-mile system of canals, and a 1400-acre staging reservoir. Division staff operates the pump stations and the canals, maintains the assets of the system, and performs minor corrective maintenance to system assets. This is a leadership role required to work closely and collaboratively within the division and cross-functionally to promote strategic objectives, good morale, teamwork, and communication throughout the entire SJRA organization. Develops and successfully implements strategic and five-year Business Plan to meet overall goals and objectives of Highlands Division; develops and annually updates ten-year capital improvements plan and a five-year staffing plan. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural science, business, public administration, or related field with a minimum of 10 years practical experience in planning, development, operation, maintenance, repair, capital improvement, and management of public works; utilities; reservoirs and dam operations; raw water pump station, reservoir and canal systems; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
