Job Description: Barrier Operations Dispatcher Pay Range Commensurate with Industry Experience Schedule Typically Monday through Friday and additional days as needed Objective The Dispatcher is responsible for taking customers' orders, dispatching crews to internal and external jobs, and dispatching trucks to multiple projects for the utilization of shipping & receiving of products. The goal is to work as a team to successfully complete all customer orders and always provide customer satisfaction. Regular Job Duties: Provide excellent customer service Dispatch crews to various sizes of jobs Be able to handle heavy volume of calls Take customer orders over phone Coordinate and schedule customer orders and input in dispatch schedule Coordinate and dispatch trucks to plants/jobs Create orders for all new jobs/customers and maintain current orders Manage the DISPATCH SCHEDULE to ensure all customer orders/Jobs are complete Communicate with Field Dispatchers on changes/updates to Dispatch Schedule throughout the day Maintain good communication with superintendents to be able to dispatch daily Be able to effectively coordinate jobs/orders with Sales Team and field dispatcher Ensure all necessary key personnel are kept informed with daily issues Be able to resolve trucking Issues Be able to resolve customer issues Be able to find solutions to daily operations issues with customers/truckers/yard personnel Be able to multi-task and apply the necessary skills to manage daily operations Be able to coordinate with travel agents to ensure hotel rooms are set up in a timely manner Be able to perform all Field Dispatcher Duties Qualifications 1 year of experience in Dispatching, Customer Service, Administrative, or similar Support role, preferred but not required Knowledgeable in: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Strong data entry skills Strong customer service skills Previous construction experience considered a plus The Statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and levels of work performed by employees, but are not a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
