Join our Greater Cleveland YMCA team in living our cause and helping to provide quality, safe and healthy programs and services in our community. We are currently seeking an experienced Wellness professional for the key position of Director, Wellness to join our Warrensville YMCA Team! The Wellness Director is accountable for successfully developing and managing all program areas assigned to him/her, which include new program development, fiscal management, and effective supervision of program staff, direction and implementation of all program delivery, quality, promotion, and monitoring results against pre-stated performance goals. Essential Functions: Staff Recruitment & Development Areas of Accountability: Group Exercise, Personal Training, Wellness Center Operations, fitness-related promotions, special events, and member engagement programs. Budget Development Sales Program/Marketing Development Public relations/Community engagement Fund Development Location: Warrensville Department: Wellness Job Status: Full-time /Exempt (40+ hours per week) Hours: 40+ hours per week Benefits: Competitive pay Paid Time Off Comprehensive benefits plan including: Health, Dental, Vision Plans, STD & LTD, and Life Career Development opportunities Free YMCA Membership 403 (B) Plan Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Preferred majors: Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Sports Management (2) two years' experience in programming. (1) one year experience in staff supervision. Experience in developing programs for wellness and fitness is preferred Certification(s) and Requirements Certification in CPR at the level of Basic Life Support or Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration and associated-determined safety training required within 90 days of hire. Current certification from an NCCA-accredited organization in either Personal Training or Group Exercise.
