Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization This role is responsible for driving the visual brand identity, optimization of the consumer experience, and enhancing product knowledge across all Direct-To-Consumer locations. This pivotal position is critical in ensuring that our stores and not just spaces to sell product but immersive environments that reflect our brand values, engage consumers, and drive sales. By developing innovative visual excellence strategies, leading comprehensive product training programs, and spearheading brand initiatives at POS, this position plays a central role in shaping the overall retail experience. Through effective team leadership and collaboration with cross-functional departments, this role aims to elevate our brand presence, increase customer loyalty, and contribute to the continued success and growth of our DTC stores. Key Responsibilities Positively communicates and actively demonstrates the Brand Values and NAM Retail Mission. Live a consumer-first mindset, to drive visual excellence across the NAM market. Lead the development and implementation of visual brand identity strategies across all Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) locations. Ensure consistent representation of brand values, aesthetics, and messaging through visual displays and merchandising efforts. Foster a consumer-first mindset among the visual merchandising and training teams, driving a focus on enhancing the consumer experience. Collaborate closely with Business Unites to align visual merchandising and product knowledge strategies with overall business objectives and sales targets. Develop comprehensive visual merchandising manuals and modules for easy implementation across all DTC locations. Enhance and expand product training programs to deepen retail staff’s understanding of product features, benefits and unique selling points. Incorporate interactive training modules, product demonstrations, and role-playing exercises to improve staff knowledge and consumer engagement skills. Lead, mentor and inspire a team of training managers, district visual managers and store staff to deliver exceptional results. Provide ongoing training, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and performance. Drive brand initiatives at the point of sale, ensuring that visual merchandising efforts at POS reflect current brand campaigns and messaging. Collaborate with cross functional Retail Marketing teams to translate brand stories into compelling in-store experience that resonate with the consumer. Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies and product training programs. Implement improvements based on data driven insights to drive continuous optimization and results. Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies. Partners with Store Operations, Merchandising, Fleet leadership and others to ensure seamless execution of visual and training strategies. Develop and manage budgets for visual merchandising initiatives and training programs. Strong consumer-centric mindset, driving a focus on enhancing the overall consumer experience in retail settings. Ability to gather and analyze consumer insights to inform visual and training strategies and improve in-store experiences. Strategic thinker who can anticipate market trends and adapt strategies accordingly. Skilled in developing comprehensive visual merchandising manuals, modules and directives for implementation across multiple locations. Proven track record of driving brand initiatives at the point of sale, ensuring alignment with current brand campaigns and messaging. Collaborative mindset in working with Regional Directors and other store leadership to achieve common goals and objectives. Experience in optimizing resource allocation to achieve maximum return on investment and drive profitability. Ability to adapt to changing market trends, consumer preferences and industry best practices. Innovative thinker who can introduce new concepts, technologies and strategies to enhance the retail experience and drive sales growth. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and stays current with emerging trends in visual merchandising, retail training and consumer behavior. Excellent MS Office skills While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications 4-year college or university degree in Marketing, Retail Merchandising, or related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in visual merchandising, product training, or retail management within the sporting goods or related industry. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, providing coaching and development. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening, overnight and weekend shifts as well as ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
