Position Summary: The Director of Site Services will be responsible for the monitoring & reporting of Site financial, planning and analysis processes in Mobile. This position is responsible for implementing processes and procedures that result in the Mobile FAL-USA meeting Airbus program data collection and reporting requirements. Alignment both with A220 and A320 Finance teams in Mobile as well as the central finance team in Herndon, VA for recurring activities. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Site Cost Planning: 40% ● Manage and lead the development and maintenance of financial and related performance data necessary for complete and accurate reporting on A320, A220 and Site FAL-USA financial status. ● Responsible for reviewing and reporting on monthly results and variance reporting relative to OPEX and cost allocation methodology. ● Responsible for reviewing and and reporting on quarterly results in Site Services Steerco ● Responsible for planning, approving, monitoring and reporting of Site operational expenses in accordance with Airbus AOP procedures and KPIs. ● Responsible for ensuring that the acquisition of capital assets are properly recorded, amortized and disposed of in a manner consistent with Airbus policy and US and other national and local tax requirements. ● Responsible to ensure the tracking, submitting and reporting of tax, training and investment credits ● Responsible for ensuring resource planning across the Mobile Manufacturing Site, providing headcount forecasting to business line controllers and HR. ● Responsible for ensuring the security of Mobile FAL-USA financial data. 2. Oversight and Compliance: 25% ● Liaise with Site Services Integration Manager to integrate changes to Site Services SLAs into the finance masterplan. ● Ensure proper cost allocation between programs is in accordance with Site SLAs. ● Responsible for intercompany invoicing in accordance with Site and Assembly Services agreements. ● Responsible for liaising with the Site Services Integration Manager to ensure cost improvement initiatives are integrated into the finance masterplan. ● Responsible for ensuring monthly support for the finance team for the closing process, including all accruals and reclasses for Site Services. Responsible for ensuring an accurate closing result. ● Responsible for supporting procurement as part of the multi-function team in a major contract call for tender. ● Responsible for coordinating the audit process and procedure with the accounting team. ● Responsible for ensuring local finance support to operational teams (A320 and A220). 3. Leadership: 30% ● Responsible for supervision of a team of up to 8, including controllers and financial analysts. ● Responsible for planning the daily tasks of the Site Controlling team and ensuring the work of the employees is consistent with Airbus policy and that accuracy is an important goal to all staff. ● Responsible for ensuring proper training and development of employees per Airbus process and requirements. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned: 5% ● Support R&O monitoring and reporting Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Education: Required: Master's degree in Finance or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience: Required: 10+ years experience in Finance or Accounting, Leadership Experience Licensure/Certifications: ● CMA Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: ● Robust accounting knowledge ● Experience in both accounting and controlling preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry. ● Experience in project and product controlling. ● Ability to partner with tax and accounting finance colleagues regarding US accounting practices and the ability to accommodate US generated information in international finance and accounting system reports. ● Ability to influence senior leadership on cost optimization and competitiveness. ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a senior executive audience (internal and external) ● Proven leadership capabilities and team working skills that can be applied in a complex matrix organization ● Capable of living up to the Airbus Integrity Principles, consistently demonstrating ethical leadership behaviors ● Proactive nature and strong self-initiative in an unstructured environment ● Ability to identify and solve complex problems and manage conflict ● International experience and relationship building capabilities across cultures ● Knowledge of Airbus Corporate Units' (i.e. Europe) strategy, policies, processes, systems and tools is a plus. ● Established network within Airbus and divisional corporate functions in Region and Europe is a plus. Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): ● Fluent in English, French would be a plus. Technical Systems Proficiency: ● Accustomed to work with financial reporting systems such as SAP Travel Required: ● Eligibility: ● Able to work in the US without a current or future need for visa sponsorship Decision Making, Complexity: ● Autonomous and able to work with multiple stakeholders in multiple companies and countries Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success: ● Responsible for planning and reporting of operational budgets for the Site Services ● Responsible for enabling site department heads to manage and lead operational budgets ● Authority to approve expenses and contracts up to $100k p.a. ● Authority to manage budgets up to $300M ● Responsible for oversight of Site Services cost performance ● Responsible to lead and liaise with finance managers in the Mobile Manufacturing Site Physical Requirements: ● Working Conditions/Physical Demands (for ex. Lifting, working in heights): ● Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions ● Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. ● Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. ● Equipment Operation Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. ● Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects. ● Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs/9kg. ● Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas. ● Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings. ● Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. ● Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time. ● Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time. Working outside hangers in changing locations. ● Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
