The Team Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers Scotiabank’s Corporate, Investment Banking and Capital Markets businesses. The Role GBME Risk Technology is searching for a Director for the Risk Run and Analytics team, who is eager to develop best in breed technical platforms, and provide superior technology support for the Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk departments. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of the Market and Counterparty Credit Risk space, as well as a strong technical and engineering mindset. You will work closely with the Risk and Trading business teams and cross functional engineering leaders to develop and implement market leading solutions for the various projects within GBME Risk Technology. Accountabilities Supports and leads a team of IT professionals (direct and indirect reports) and is responsible for systems support, design and build. Including Build, maintain and motivate a strong support team by ensuring the right procedures, organization and talent is in place to provide superior technical support to the Risk Officers and Trading users of the Risk applications.
