NIRA, INC, a fast-growing IT professional services company serving the needs of federal customers is looking for a a self-motivated and customer-oriented Director of System Engineering with extensive experiences supporting federal government acquisition processes to join our team.Responsibilities include: Leading engagements with federal customers to support acquisition and management of major Information Technology (IT) programs. He or she will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on program management, system architecture and information management. He or she will be responsible for a wide set of engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle such as Concept of Operations, gap analysis, analysis of alternatives, project schedule and cost management. Collaborating with stakeholders across a federal agency to ensure program alignment with appropriate information governance frameworks. He or she will participant in intra and inter-agency forums such as communities of practitioners to achieve the agency's information management objectives. Providing technical leadership to NIRA's system engineering team. He or she will assist in recruiting new system engineering resources and mentoring other team members to prompt best system engineering practices. Supporting new business pursuits to include all phases of business campaigns and proposal processes, may serve as a capture manager, proposal lead or solution architect for new pursuits. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor Degree 10 plus years relevant work experience. At least five (5) years supporting a major IT program of the federal government Experience in the aviation and knowledge of Air Traffic Management systems Leadership experience in prioritizing, planning, and successfully delivering multiple projects Expert knowledge of federal contracting and acquisition process. Excellent oral and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audience Desired Qualifications Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as FEAF and DODAF Knowledge of information management and system integration approaches and technologies such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), API Management, XML and JSON Knowledge of geospatial systems.
