Summary: The Director of Supply Chain will be a key organizational leader responsible for overseeing supply chain operations, develop and implement strategies to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise the Warehouse, Receiving, Shipping and Purchasing Personnel Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time. Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules. Keep Work Orders and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and providing documentation to their internal customer. Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process. Keep order location data current and correct. Oversee all Supply Chain related activities. Ensure supplier base is set up strategically to handle the current and future needs of the company. Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout Supply Chain and all related functional areas. Lead, engage, and continuously develop all team members. Identify and reduce slow moving inventory. Increase efficiencies to reduce costs. Improve packaging materials to eliminate shipping damages. Develop and implement weekly Supply Chain reports. Recommend improvements in procedures, technology utilization and automation, and analyze impact of changes. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum: Experience in logistics/transportation, material management, strategic sourcing and manufacturing. At least 3 years managerial experience Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Advanced ability to read and understand contract documentation, flow charts, diagrams, and industry specifications. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations Preferred: 5+ years managerial experience Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field. Physical Demands /Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly requires to sit and use hands to operate a telephone, type and operate a computer and mouse. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
