Description:
Fast paced primary care office seeks Director of Referrals and Authorizations. Director is responsible for a team of 25+ specialists, processors and call center staff to support office staff and providers. Team ensures that the patient's insurance allows them to access the services of the health care provider. This position requires employee to be physically present on-site to perform tasks. Office location: Tampa, FL or Sarasota, FL Position Responsibilities: Referral & Authorization program for at-risk, primary care group Minimize out of network leakage and maximize appropriate steerage to Preferred Providers and partners Identify patterns & trends to inform processes and improve efficiency Work with Medical Directors and providers as indicated Manage turn-around times to ensure patient experience is optimal Design and implement process improvements inclusive of technology, reporting, workflow, etc. Oversee call center team members who answer in-bound calls related to referrals and authorizations Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have 3+ years' experience in Referrals & Authorizations and previous management experience managing a large, complex team. Clinical experience preferred, but not required.
