Director of Hotel Lodging Services - AwayTeam Travel LOCATION: Clearwater, FL DEPARTMENT: LODGING STATUS: EXEMPT (FULL TIME) POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Hotel Lodging Services will be responsible for leading the success of the Company's proprietary web-based marketplace that allows consumers to search for and reserve hotel rooms, travel packages, services, and products. This position will play a valuable role in helping to support the Company's mission This person will develop and manage relationships with hotels, event rights holders, convention & sport style venues. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Lead an in-house team of sales and customer service professionals whose primary responsibilities are to develop and maintain relationships with hotel partners, event rights holders, and venues Focus on providing inbound and outbound support to our hotel and property partners to attract travelers Develop sales processes and pitch decks Develop and maintain strong hotel partner and vendor relations Lead and manage B2B and B2C relationships and communications Establish and maintain accurate and robust senior management reporting Foster a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on providing solutions and delivering results Develop and drive platform KPI's Accountable for platform profitability Accountable for the performance of team members Support the personal and professional development of team members and provide leadership supporting company objectives, culture, vision, and standards of excellence MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred Highly motivated, hands-on, with demonstrated ability to develop and implement new initiatives Hotel/Travel industry experience is necessary Experience in customer service-oriented industry Experience in sales operations Must have expert level command of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and have demonstrated the ability to learn multiple new software platforms quickly Must have coaching/mentoring skills and abilities and possess a team orientation and commitment to success Must possess a strong ability to document and communicate with all levels of the organization and conceptualize programs, benefits, and the associated risks, including financial responsibility Familiar with basic accounting terms Background creating operational processes, managing resources, and hiring and training personnel Ability to manage multiple software programs, deliver prompt and accurate responses to email and phone communications and provide a simple, rapid, competent support experience Must be able to collaborate with other Corporate departments Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities Ability to develop lasting professional relationships with clients Appropriate business acumen while participating/interacting in office meetings Exceptional communication and presentation skills Professional writing skills when representing the company, whether in documents, email, or other written methods TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Willing to travel up to 40% of the time WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be required to sit or stand for extended periods Will be required to operate a computer This position works in a typical office environment with a moderate noise level Job Posted by ApplicantPro
