Position Title:Director of Catering Services Reports To: Salary:130,000 to ,000 Other Forms of Compensation: Founded in 2005 as Hudson Yards Catering, Union Square Events is a culinary and operations leader in the hospitality industry, partnering with a diverse portfolio of best:in:class clients. We produce one:of:a:kind catered events and unparalleled dining experiences in a variety of cultural, corporate, entertainment, and private venues throughout New York City and beyond. Job Summary What you'll do:- Effectively partner with the BOH management team to deliver on Excellence- Comfortable presenting in front of all stakeholders (internal/external) with the ability to impact and motivate- Leader of the Events teams partnering with VP of Culinary to create dishes, and support training and execution onsite- Unwavering commitment to Excellence and raising the bar- Provide support, leadership, and guidance to the production team- Communicate consistently with the culinary team and partners to push the vision forward- Strong skills in creating innovative dishes through R and D, events, consulting- Outstanding communication and presentation skills- Ability to take feedback, adapt and apply quickly- Collaborate with Culinary leadership to develop systems and processes- Ensure the events, culinary, and BOH team is meeting all safety, compliance, and regulation requirements- partner with all areas of operations to develop collaboration What we need from you:- Strong Computer Skills ( Microsoft Office, IMS, CaterXpert preferred)- 15+ years of experience in off:site catering, large:scale special events, small intimate gatherings- Proven experience in hotel, fine dining restaurant, corporate dining which will support consulting division- Strong leadership skills- Excellent working knowledge of many styles of cuisine and types of events- CPR/1st Aid Certified (preferred)- NYC Food Handler's Certificate Apply to Union Square Events today Union Square Events is a member of Compass Group USA Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
