Are you a strategic leader with a knack for managing retail facilities and construction projects while staying within budget? We're looking for a Director of Construction to join our client’s team overseeing designers, construction projects, and facilities management, ensuring seamless operations and cost-effective solutions. Refrigeration experience is a critical requirement for this position, as you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our facilities at optimal levels. Location: Modesto/Turlock Area This is a full time job that is expected to pay a base salary between about $180-200k annually plus benefits (and relocation expenses) What You Will Do: Manage facilities, construction projects, and designers. Implement effective planning and teamwork strategies to optimize facility performance. Utilize strong relationships to negotiate favorable costs for goods and services. Oversee ground-up construction projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Demonstrate creativity in repairs, maximizing efficiency without unnecessary replacements. Prioritize budget adherence, justifying deviations when necessary for the company's benefit. Represent the company as a proactive and growth-oriented leader in the industry. What Gets You The Job: Strong background in facilities management and construction. Proven ability to manage projects within budget constraints. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of diplomatically explaining decisions. Experience with refrigeration systems and their maintenance. Experience collaborating with local agencies to ensure regulatory compliance. Innovative mindset for problem-solving and cost-effective repairs.
