Director of Clinical Informatics- HOPE STREET TERRACE Candidates are invited to apply for the Director of Informatics, full time, permanent position of (DOI) at Hope Street Terrace; a 77 bed accredited long term care facility located in Port Hope, Ontario. Reporting to the Executive Director (E. D), the DOI is accountable for assisting with the management of all aspects of nursing care within the facility to ensure quality resident care through the effective, efficient delivery of established standards within legislative and budgetary requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES: Works in partnership with the DOC in the implementation and evaluation of the nursing department quality improvement initiatives, risk management systems, data collection and analysis, report writing, procedural updates, Takes the lead in the coordinat ion and implementa tion of best practice and risk management initiatives related to resident care ( i. e. Falls, Restraint use, Wound Management, Infection Control, Responsive Expressions etc), Ensures risk management process is adhered to by reviewing staff and resident incident reports, monthly indicators, Public Health Inspections, Ministry of Labour inspections, Accreditation reports, etc. Will be the designated professional to provide IPAC support in the absence of IPAC lead. Maintains a system of care backssment, planning, implementation and evaluation at the resident and unit program level that maximizes staff resources and contributes to Southbridge interdisciplinary team approach to resident care, Delegates clinical and managerial responsibilities as well as provides direction and leadership, Conducts and oversees the RAI-MDS process and ensures each resident has a RAI-MDS backssment completed on admission, quarterly and at a significant change of condition’ Monitors all CIHI indicators and the Case Mix Index for the Home, Assists with the development of succession plans and identify employees with growth potential for development,.
