BridgeWay Community Church is a growing community that seeks to turn spiritually hungry people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We have a 10 year vision that encompasses Family, Community, Discipleship, Serving and Soul Care. We are also at the beginning stages of adding 16k square feet of ministry space to facilitate more growth across all ministries and providing more opportunities for families to connect.We are seeking an outgoing, organized, leader as our Director of Children's Ministry and Family Development. Primary Responsibilities include: Build relationships within the church that lead to further steps of spiritual growth for the individual and growth of the ministry. Ensure the highest level of child safety with best practices in the classroom and by facilitating leader background checks and training. Oversee the curriculum selection and implementation for children, infant through 5th grade. Recruit, develop and retain volunteers to lead the ministry on Sunday morning. Plan community outreach events that appeal to children and families to experience fellowship. Highlight the ministry through special times of service for the children (VBS, Christmas drama, etc). Excel at communication with children, families and volunteers through email, text and social media Requirements: Exhibit a growing relationship with Jesus, evidenced by faithful church engagement, small group involvement, spiritual disciplines, a heart to serve and give sacrificially.
