Director of Business Development

Description:
The Business Development (BD) Director will be responsible for strategy and tactics associated with developing and maintaining client relations, networking, identifying business leads, and generating sales in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and implement firm-wide BD strategy and drive implementation. Work closely with the Davis & Floyd Marketing team on strategic pursuits, proposals, etc. Foster relationships with key clients and prospects, and facilitate capabilities briefings, etc. with Davis & Floyd team members. Engage with agencies/associations, chambers of commerce, and economic development organizations, and manage sponsorships and meetings/events attendance. Manage conference registrations, sponsorships, booth, raffle prizes, receptions/dinners, etc. Coordinate events/entertainment for potential/current clients & teaming partners. Drive Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation/maintenance Capable of managing BD team Coordinate all firm BD efforts through regular meetings with key internal stakeholders, including corporate leadership and Market Sector Leaders Develop and report on sales metrics on a monthly and yearly basis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 10 years of Sales and/or BD experience within the A/E/C space. Experience within South Carolina is preferred. Experience with Economic Development organizations is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Microsoft Teams strongly preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Additional Information: 40-hour work week with flexible schedule. Position preferably based in Davis & Floyd's Charleston, Greenville, or Columbia office
