We are building a world-class legal team in our World Headquarters in Coopersburg and Philadelphia, Pa to support Lutron as we continue to grow the company domestically and internationally. We are looking to hire a seasoned Internationally savvy commercial /corporate attorney to facilitate our growth through reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex agreements. You will be a business partner with our internal departments to develop new policies and procedures and manage legal risk to ensure compliance with Lutron's high standards. As we expand our offerings, your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact.Responsibilities:* Lead an International internal and external team of legal professionals in their handling of commercial matters on a global basis and in their timely review, revision, and negotiation of various contracts (focused on Asia & Latin America).* Legal counseling to the organization on a broad spectrum of commercial and contractual matters* Must leverage legal expertise and business expertise to provide practical business and legal advice to various business partners, including Lutron's senior management* Analysis of complex issues/concepts in legal transactions, especially the drafting, and negotiation of commercial agreements* Manage outside legal work so that it is timely and cost effective* Must work creatively with outside counsel on budgetary issues to minimize costs and resolve issues effectively* Identify, develop, and implement business process improvements that will enhance the delivery of legal services within our organization* Represent the company's legal function in a variety of internal and external committees* Serve as Legal Advisor in the negotiation and settlement of business disputes to avoid litigation and protect Lutron's businessExperience:12-15 years of legal experienceStrongly prefer a combination of large law firm and in-house experienceMust have some experience working abroad in Asia 8+ years of in-house legal experience with a Global Manufacturing Company5+ years experience leading an in-house commercial legal function Experience managing and developing internal and external legal teamsDemonstrated success developing an organization and managing changeExperience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including licensing and technology related agreementsDemonstrated success providing strategic counseling to senior business peopleExperience working in a matrixed organization and developing cross functional working relationshipsLutron Electronics' position as the inventor and worldwide leader of lighting controls is founded on our unsurpassed quality, the breadth and depth of our product offerings, and our commitment to delighting our worldwide customers.
