We are Invenergy.Job DescriptionPosition OverviewAs the Director, Contracts you will participate in the negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements, Build Transfer and Development Transfer agreements for renewable energy projects and assist with customer presentations. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience leading negotiations, and possess the ability to comprehend, organize, and communicate the complex risks associated with these types of transactions. In addition, the candidate will have a strong understanding of project development and/or project management including development milestones, project schedule, and technical intricacies of a project. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced candidate to expand their deal sheet by joining the transaction team at one of the largest volume renewable developers in the world.Responsibilities * Lead the negotiation of Power Purchase (PPA), Build Transfer (BT) and Development Transfer (DT) Agreements. * Lead coordination efforts with internal and outside counsel on the drafting and reviewing of agreements. * Lead coordination efforts with internal development and construction teams for contracting activities for multiple projects. * Lead coordination efforts with development, finance, engineering and other departments as it relates to contracting activities for multiple project sites. * Assist origination team with RFP responses related to PPA, BT, and DT transactions.Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree required. * 10+ years of professional experience * Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications * 3+ years of experience leading negotiations for Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Build Transfers (BT), and/or Development Transfers (DT). * 10+ years of experience in contract negotiation, project development, project management, power origination, or business development roles in the energy, infrastructure, or utilities sector. * Ability to comprehend complex documents and communicate transactional risks and project impact. * Excellent solution-seeking, teamwork, leadership and communication skills which extend across all organizational and management levels. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems * Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive workBenefitsEligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), bonus, paid time off, etc.Invenergy LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
