Our Global Operations Team - all business professionals of the firm - was named the "Best Business Team" by The American Lawyer .Working with the CFO, the Director of Billing & Collections Transformation role will lead a series of transformation initiatives across Finance to optimize operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth. They will project manage and drive the implementation of various initiatives, including process improvements and adoption/implementation of new technologies, focusing initially on billing and collections, accounts payable and cash application. The successful candidate will have past experience working in billing and collections and be familiar with the associated operating processes and systems. What You Will Do: Assist the CFO in prioritizing and project managing various process and technology improvement initiatives related to billing and collections, including adjacent processes such as accounts payable and cash application.Identify opportunities to implement standardized operating procedures, where applicable. Develop and document procedures.Assist in developing the roadmap and prioritization of various technology improvements, including upgrading existing billing and collections systems. Investigate other automation opportunities and solutions.Develop KPIs to measure the impact of transformation initiatives.Develop project status reporting and identify escalation thresholds. Who You Are: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or equivalent.3-5 years of transformation experience and 5+ years of billing and collections experience in a professional service organization (preferably law firms).Knowledge of financial management and business intelligence systems such as Aderant Expert, ARCS 2G, e-billing platforms and Chrome RiverExperienced in change management and implementing transformation initiatives.Team-oriented, proactive thinker with excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Skilled communicator with exceptional organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work in high stress situations.Must thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic business environment with a willingness to travel as necessary.Excellent computer skills with proficiency in spreadsheet software applications.#LI-MS1Consistent with the SF Fair Chance Ordinance, an arrest and conviction record will not automatically disqualify a qualified applicant from consideration.Goodwin Procter LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
