The corporate compliance program is a mechanism by which CHHS maintains a system of effective internal operating and financial controls and promotes adherence to applicable federal and state laws. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Requires specialized knowledge of process improvement and change theory and knowledge of accounting and computer systems and laws and regulations acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Business or related field, or a JD. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified in Healthcare Compliance, Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance, or other applicable professional designation required. Minimum of ten years of compliance or internal audit experience in the health care or insurance industry. Experience addressing regulatory and corporate compliance issues required. Minimum of five years performing risk assessments preferred. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements, the ability to read and understand state and federal laws and regulations, and familiarity with hospital and physician billing practices and systems. Knowledge of health plan compliance preferred, including government payers. Ability to communicate the background, scope, findings, recommendations and any corrective actions necessary to the audit audiences both orally and in writing. Understanding of internal auditing standards, COSO and enterprise risk management, and risk assessment practices. Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to work with all levels of the organization. Knowledge of computer applications and control processes to monitor information technology operational and financial risks, and produce computer-generated reports. Knowledge of Epic preferred. Experience managing an independent professional staff, and ability to direct staff on several concurrent projects. Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
