Your role as a Direct Support Professionals Day Program staff needed At the Greenfield Center, we believe in empowering individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a crucial role in providing person-centered support to help individuals enhance various skills such as leisure, social, safety, job readiness, and more. By fostering independence and choice, we aim to maximize the potential of each person we serve. Whether assisting with securing employment or volunteer opportunities, you will help individuals develop responsibility, pride, and community involvement. What you need to be successful To excel in the role of a Direct Support Professional at the Greenfield Center, you will need a blend of skills and qualifications. Experience in direct care, knowledge of human services, and previous exposure to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are key. Proficiency in Behavioral Safety Care Training and being a Behavioral Health Specialist will be advantageous for this position. Additionally, possessing a High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Two professional references and an acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) are also required to ensure a smooth transition into this rewarding role.
