1:1 Part-time Support Staff Need - (JOB # NP-PL) Exceptional Family Resources is currently seeking a reliable, friendly Direct Support Professional to work with a young woman in the Pennellville area. This position requires a support staff to assist this young woman in getting out into the community to work on social interaction skills, identifying activities of interest, independent living skills, and money management. She enjoys spending time with friends and has a great love of animals. A typical day supporting her may include going to the YMCA so she can participate in her swimming lessons, then possibly having dinner together to encourage healthy food options and support with money management skills when ordering/paying for dinner. Due to dexterity issues some personal care is required for this Direct Support Professional position. This is a part-time position but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Starting pay : Starting pay is $17/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Schedule: Monday & Tuesday 5:30pm-8:00pm, Wednesday & Thursday 3:00pm-6:00pm Location: Pennellville, NY Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills. No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check completed by Exceptional Family Resources (EFR). EOE EFR is a qualified employer in the New York State Health Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus (HWB) Program. Employees who meet the minimum required hours may be eligible for up to two bonuses, with a total maximum payout of $3000.
