1:1 Part-time Support Staff Need - (JOB # AO-JF) Exceptional Family Resources is currently seeking a motivated, understanding Direct Support Professional to work with a young woman in the Clay area. This position will require a support staff to assist this young woman in getting out into the community to work on social interaction skills, identifying activities of interest, independent living skills, and healthy living practices. This young woman is looking for a support staff that will treat her with respect and assist her in learning new strategies to cope with this new phase of her life. This young woman is in the process of finishing up high school and transitioning into college. She is looking for an organized DSP that can assist her with problem-solving, as well as assisting her with being prepared for her classes. This young woman's interests include getting outside during good weather, going to the park, and running. She has a love of animals and has 2 cats of her own. This is a part-time position but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency. Starting pay : Starting pay is $19/hour and increases with years of relevant experience. Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday 5:00pm-9:00pm, Saturday's 10:00am-4:00pm Location: Clay, NY Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community. Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills. No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred. New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community. All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check completed by Exceptional Family Resources (EFR). EOE EFR is a qualified employer in the New York State Health Care and Mental Hygiene Worker Bonus (HWB) Program. Employees who meet the minimum required hours may be eligible for up to two bonuses, with a total maximum payout of $3000.
