Benhaven Individual & Family Supports are looking for energetic, flexible professionals to work with our dynamic team throughout the South Central CT areas. A great candidate must be able to work independently with families and individuals within the community. Come join us!!!Branford/East Haven: Hour: 17 hours Schedule: Tuesday 3:30pm-7:30pm; Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm; Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm; Sunday 10:00am-2:00pmStatus: Part-time, non-exempt Responsibilities: The following duties are assigned to this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and possibly their families: Encourage building skills for independence Encourage and assist in increasing socialization Encourage and assist individuals with the pursuit of vocational opportunities Assist and provide opportunities for individuals to participate in recreational activities Experience and Skill Requirements: 2 year's experience working with individuals with Autism and/or developmental disabilities a must Must have some familiarity with positive behavior supports Must pass a variety of background checks Must have a CT driver's license Must have a registered, insured vehicle which will pass a safety inspection in order to transport individuals int he community Employee Incentives: Sick days (accrued) EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Employee Discounts (Tickets-At-Work, Verizon, Alliance college discounts, etc.) Employee Referral Program Mutual of America 403b & 401a Benhaven, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
