If you have experience or are new to human services and looking for meaningful work, have we got a job for you.Join Community Services Group (CSG) as a Direct Care Worker (Direct Support Professional - DSP) and spend your day by someone's side enjoying adventures and activities like playing ball, going to the movies, bowling, singing karaoke, going dancing, taking walks in nature, going to bookstores, going out to eat, volunteering, and more.At CSG's Concepts Community Participation Support (CPS) Services (Day Program) , adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) have opportunities to participate in activities that develop and increase their daily living, social, communication, and functional skills, as well as enhancing their independence and wellbeing in the community. This program offers you, Starting wage $15 per hour with increase possible based on relevant IDD experience. A convenient location in Greenfield Corporate Center in Lancaster, PA , just off Rt. 30! 40 hours per week, 1st shift, no weekends or holidays. The chance to be part of a collaborative team where you are supported and valued by your coworkers and managers. The opportunity for you to be trained and work at Concepts and/or a group of community homes in Lancaster County. As a Direct Care Worker (Direct Support Professional - DSP), you will develop relationships with adults with IDD in a day program and community settings, in order to promote their emotional, physical and personal well-being. In this caregiver role, you will: Assist people in the development of appropriate life skills necessary to reach their highest level of potential including interaction with others, money management, personal hygiene, and increasing individuals independence to live their best lives. Support the individuals' preferences and ensure their interests are honored. Actively search for opportunities for those you serve to experience life in their community based on their hobbies and interests. Help people reach their goals to be more independent by offering guidance, instruction, and role modeling. Willingness and ability to work in and travel to an identified group of community homes. Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
