GATR Truck Center is seeking to hire a full-time DIESEL MECHANIC in our WAUKEE IA location to perform Heavy/Medium/Light Truck repair and maintenance work. PRIMARY DUTIES WILL CONSIST OF BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Performs work as outlined on repair order with accuracy Diagnoses complaints and malfunctions on repair orders and documents findings in detail Communicates with Parts Department on local procedures to obtain needed parts Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended Initiates and maintains contact with manufacturer and OEMs Participates in manufacturer and dealership sponsored training programs, schools, and events Road tests vehicles when required QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 1-3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic High School Diploma or Equivalent Valid Driver's License CDL certification preferred Driving Record Insurable through Company Carrier Ability to Read and Interpret Documents Ability to Document/Communicate effectively **This Diesel Mechanic position also comes with a $2,000 signing and referral bonus as well as a team bonus program.
