Location: Toronto Job type: Full-time Job Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in diesel engines, including engines, transmissions, and brakes. Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections. Should be responsible for the setup, disassembly/reassembly, overhaul, and rebuild diesel engine. Research and determine reusability of parts in accordance with published manufacturer guidelines. Test, measure, and adjust engine systems and components. Therein, identify the cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps and failure analysis. Perform disassembly, inspection, rebuilding and/or reassembly of diesel engines automotive and industrial engine systems in accordance with all prescribed quality and safety standards. Replacing vehicle engines, Steering systems, gearboxes and braking systems. Conducting inspections on diesel machinery and vehicles to detect for signs of possible deterioration or upcoming issues. Diagnosing malfunctions or problems using a computerized system or testing equipment to determine the root cause of any issues. Identifying and resolving mechanical problems efficiently. Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work meets safety and quality standards. Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
