Made Possible.Job Description:MISSION / SUMMARY:The Manufacturing Excellence Advisor (Die Cutting Specialist & Trainer) will report to the Operations Directors OpEx.The MEA will support GPI with Die Cutting support and training both at the individual plant level and through the Training Center in both class room and machine training including demonstrations. To partner with GPI plants and leadership org to accelerate improvements and increase overall asset performance by building a culture of continuous improvement best practices and deploying Lean, A3, other CI strategies throughout GPI.JOB FUNCTIONS:Job functions include but are not limited to the following. * Lead various OpEx CI projects within and across operations to optimize performance. * Certify within the Training Center OpEx Program to enhance individual CI tools / techniques and co-train, coach and mentor internally certified CI practitioners and other improvement personnel in Lean, Six Sigma, and Rational Process Thinking Methodology. * Work directly with the Training Center & OpEx teams including individual site leadership teams and others to Guide the creation, documentation, and implementation of site-focused improvement plans aligned with Division and Corporation strategy. * Build and develop improved operations, processes, and procedures to support the Training Center OpEx Division's strategic direction. * Facilitate a high level of employee participation on teams and in events to foster high involvement, accountability, and results. * Work with Finishing and Print Manufacturing Excellence Advisors to align on overall OpEx reporting strategies to generate data driven reports. * Other duties as assigned.Job Description: * Operate die cutter - BOBST 102 up to 162 sizes both old and new generation Die Cutters. * Subject matter expert on - Sheet Fed Die Cutting, Stripping and Blanking processes. * Experience in Web converting Zerand and Bobst OEMs of benefit. * Review and follow directions on make ready procedures and other relative components of Die Cutting, Stripping and Blanking for high-speed converting. * Dynamic, flexible team player with demonstrated ability to lead and develop others. * Perform all necessary quality checks at set intervals to meet the GPI standards across individual plants. * Understand and sort non-conforming and clarify any unclear procedures or specifications prior to creating die cut cartons. Follow established guidelines. * Understand and be responsible for performing score bend ratio tests when required. * Complete required productions reports, log necessary information on job jackets and other required documentation. * Be able to support and perform preventative maintenance on equipment per work instructions. * Always maintain a clean and safe work environment. * Follow safety rules and regulations. Clear record of safety / environmental leadership, commitment, and results. * Follow and understand department and company policies and procedures. * May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. * Experience running die cutters -BOBST 102 up to 162 sizes both old and new generation. * Ability to workflexible hours when needed and available to travel periodically 60%+ * Basic mechanical skills required. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with groups and individuals at all levels of the organization. * Good problem-solving skills. * Ability to use basic measurement tools. * Ability to track production and complete required paperwork. * Proficient with MS Office Suite, personal communication tools * Strong Self Starter * Strong organizational skillsEDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE: * High School Diploma or GED. * Bobst OME training and certification.Required Experience:BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 5 years of Die Cutting manufacturing experience preferred. * Prior manufacturing experience in the production of Folding Cartons is greatly preferred. * Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred. * Knowledge in lean, quality, and statistical tools preferred.SCHEDULE DEMANDS: * General schedule is an 8 -10-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be flexible when needed. * Occasional travel to include flying, driving, or rail. * International travel to Canada and Mexico may be required. * Up to 60% travelPHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours. * Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs. * Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. * Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.Salary Min: $107,140.00Salary Mid:$142,890.00Salary Max:$178,640.00Graphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
