Austin Powder is seeking to hire a full-time Detonation Cord Set Cord Operator to join our team at our Red Diamond manufacturing plant in McArthur, Ohio Summary Roles and responsibilities include oversee and maintain equipment set-up and operations on the Cord line production facility. Understand quality expectations for each piece of equipment. Be able to set up and run all machines in the Cord area including the box house. Make adjustment as necessary to ensure quality expectation are being met. Be able to test and adjust safety sensors daily. Understand equipment functionality and sequence. Maintain clean and organized set up parts. Work with operators to understand issues and find solutions. Assist Maintenance with machine related issues. Perform light maintenance duties. Perform check list functions within EAM. Attend daily/weekly meetings. Communicate part inventory concerns to stake holders. Document and report equipment deficiencies. Maintain open communication with Maintenance/production and upper management. Report near-mis findings. Always remain Safety conscious and follow BOS guidelines. Participate in Safety Evacuation Drills. Maintain a clean and organized area. Perform safety inspections on equipment. Qualifications and education requirements Must be able to lift 50lbs from a squatted position. Must be able to work flexible hours. Ability to work overtime when necessary. Be willing to support production will all duties required. Walk and stand for long periods of time. Excellent communication skills This contractor and subcontractor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
