Contract Design Engineer (Outside IR35 PAYE GBP36.85/Rolled up holiday GBP40.77/Umbrella GBP47.82): An exciting position has opened up at MAHLE, a leading international development partner and systems supplier to the automotive industry. As part of our dual strategy, we are working both on the intelligent combustion engine for the use of hydrogen and other non fossil fuels and on technologies for fuel cells and e: mobility. As a Contract Design Engineer you will enjoy a secure, supportive, and progressive working environment, where your contribution and achievements will be recognised and rewarded. Key Responsibilities: To conduct feasibility studies, design engine components, systems and vehicle installations To carry out value analysis/value engineering programmes To create design drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing To present to clients in relation to the design work To design test parts for development testing To liaise with program suppliers, internal and external customers To work together with other engineers in the business To supervise less experienced staff To monitor project progress and financial position relevant to the allocated tasks To support the preparation of engineering program quotations Key Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience: Must have experience within Propulsion systems (ICE/Ev/Battery/HV) Professional qualifications as appropriate Relevant experience in the field of engine component and system design It is desirable to have experience in one of the major CAD systems used in automotive design (CREA, Catia or NX) Knowledge of engineering fundamentals Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
