For more information about the company and product line visit: Position Summary:The function of the machine shop attendant is to process parts and raw materials throughout the organization. Machine shop attendants in this area handle a variety of materials and products.Job Duties & Responsibilities:*Load and unload material in machine shop. Material may be moved to/from racks, skids, or carts.*Use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring products and material to appropriate locations.*Shop attendant responsibilities include removing cutting waist from the CNC machines, replacing full hoppers with empty ones, and loading smaller bins into the large storage bins.*Maintain cleanliness around work area as well as throughout shop.*Help maintain and create flow lanes for product*Help create and maintain 5S floor markings*Support areas of red tag equipment and their disposition Education and/or Experience:*2+ years of recent forklift experience and a previous certification or license.*Must be able to work well in a team environment.*Must be able to work under the direction of a supervisor and lead.*Must be able to follow established safety procedures.*Workers are expected to help meet and exceed predetermined daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Working Conditions:*Able to lift up to 50 pounds.*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.SIG SAUER, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
