Deputy SheriffThe Bureau County Sheriff's Office will be accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff until February 29, 2020. Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance for employees, paid holidays and vacation, contractual raises and IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) pension. Starting salaries for Corrections deputy ($43,112.16) for Law Enforcement deputy ($46,894.54).The Bureau County Sheriff and all Bureau County governmental entities are equal opportunity employers. The Bureau County Sheriff's merit Commission shall determine candidate eligibility based on the information provided on the application. Notices will be mailed to all applicants. All applicants must pass the Police Officer Wellness Evaluation test to be eligible to take the written test. Those applicants who meet the qualifications will be placed on an eligibility list.
