Description:
The Dental Clinic Site Manager is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients of the center. This position is instrumental in defining the mission, goals, adhering to budget and performance standards for the clinic and communicating it to staff. The Dental Clinic Site Manager utilizes knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems; in addition to skills in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising. Must work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, public and external agencies. The Dental Clinic Site Manager uses skills in gathering and interpreting data in a physician office setting. Must have ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.EDUCATION & Experience:• High school diploma or GED certificate.• Completion of accredited dental hygienist program or course in Expanded Function Dental Assisting.• Management or supervisory experience, preferably in dental• Knowledge of dental terminology• Communication Skills• Judgment and decision-making skills• Teamwork• Customer Service Orientation• Ability to attend to multiple tasks at the same time and to prioritize assignments and responsibilities to ensure compliance with established deadlines and protocols.• Effective oral and written communication skills in English are required. Effective oral communication skills in Spanish preferred.LICENSURE & CREDENTIALS:• Must currently be an Expanded Function Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Hygienist.• Current CPR (BLS) required.
