Job Description Duration: 8 months Positions Available: 1 Intake Date: Monday, May 6, 2024 Application Deadline: Friday, January 5, 2024 (we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis) Minimum Qualifications: Must currently be enrolled in a recognized and accredited Canadian post-secondary institution throughout the duration of the co-op term. You must also be returning to a post-secondary institution after the co-op term is completed. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PST or MDT or relocate to a specific office (Vancouver or site-based) Desired Background: As part of the BC Hydro program, we are specifically looking for a 3rd or 4th year Engineering student from a BC university (does not need to be a BC resident). Preferred engineering backgrounds include Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronics or other related engineering fields. The successful candidate will complete vital tasks to maintain the compliance of our Energy Management System. Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Conduct data analysis of energy savings and BC Hydro submittals required to access energy bill reductions and incentives Support employee engagement for programs such as Forward-thinking Ideas and Anti-Idling, and energy saving projects Support projects about compressed air system, water management, energy map - automation Cooperate with team on data projects Qualifications Background in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Mechatronics engineering Curiosity and passion about decarbonization, renewable gas and environmental sustainability Able to build and nurture positive relationship with external collaborators Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse.
