Clearance: MUST be fully adjudicated & maintain a Top Security Clearance Core Responsibilities: Proficient in Database administration activities such as user management, space management, Monitoring, Creating Database, Managing Oracle Instance and Database security and Materialized Views. Performance Tuning of the database (Memory Allocation Tuning, I/O Tuning, Tuning Contentions) using tools like AWR, ADDM, Advisories, TKPROF, SQL TRACE, EXPLAIN PLAN for the better performance. Experience in taking Full and partial backups, Incremental and Cumulative backups using RMAN (Recovery Manager). Design and implement backup and recovery including disaster recovery structures. Familiar with Data Warehousing (ETL), Data mining, OLTP concepts and work collaboratively with Data Architects to design Data Architecture. Synchronizing database environments (DEV, QA) after each major release or production change. Work with Data Modelers and Architect to support developing data models, database design and query development, query performance analysis and optimization. Troubleshoot and Configure SQL*Net files according to client and server settings to transfer data. Perform medium to complex analysis and system development activities to design and implement database in accordance based on users' requirements. Build high availability and quality database systems of based on specific requirements. Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses. Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users. Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards. Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required. Provide writing assignment support for business development activities as directed. Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with decisions on new systems. Generating reports from single or multiple systems. Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. Basic Qualifications: Clearance: MUST be fully adjudicated & maintain a Secret security clearance or higher. 3+ years of experience as DBA, PowerShell scripting, Shell scripting, and PLSQL. Excellent knowledge of database patching, database backup and recovery techniques, security controls, data integrity, and PL/SQL development. Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with decisions on new systems. Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications. Preferred Qualifications: Security+ Certification a plus Experience in Migration of Oracle Databases between different environments. Experience with Linux based servers and shell scripting. Experience supporting testing database applications and defect tracking and closure. Solid understanding on relational database concepts, data warehouse concepts (Star schema and Snowflake schemas) and architecture (Oracle preferred) Experience working with and supporting Agile development team and DevOps environments. Strong analytical and communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy. Solid understanding of systems development and input/output and process modeling Experience in preparing and maintaining master data, data mapping document and DDL deployment. Experience in performing point in time recovery at times of necessity. Proven ability to quickly learn and new technologies and developing subject matter expertise. Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project and SharePoint.
