About the Role: Job Title: Data Scientist Looking for a Senior Data Scientist I for Commercial Insurance's team migration from on-prem servers to Azure. The bulk of the day to day will include translating code from SAS to Python, converting data processing and modeling scripts to run on the cloud, and migrating an R-Shiny dashboard to the cloud. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or other quantitative discipline (or equivalent years of experience) Master's degree required Ph.D. degree preferred Must Haves: 3+ years of experience demonstrated experience in data manipulation and various AI/machine learning methodologies , preferably in applications using credit data for insurance or financial services. Must be fluent in SAS and Python - translating SAS to Python Coding in Python OOA/OOD Proficiency in R - Enough to migrate the dashboard. R-Shiny dashboard that needs to be migrated. Experience with R and Python's standard data manipulation and Machine Learning packages. Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn , XGBoost, PyTorch in Python and rpart, party, caret in R) and/or Scala. No modeling will be done in this role Experience manipulating and merging multiple large data sets in a distributed computing environment. Interacting with scripts, pulling data from the data lake, and managing server configurations within the Azure cloud environment 2+ years' experience working on Azure cloud - specifically Azure Data Lakes. Location: Remote Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $90000 - $103000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
